The Friends of the Carmel Valley Library launch their Fall Season of First Saturdays event with Project Azorian on Saturday, September 14 from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM. Join Mike Clancy, a former Technical and Scientific Director of the US Navy’s Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center in Monterey as he walks us thought the intriguing story about the CIA’s attempt to raise a sank Soviet submarine and its connections to the Monterey Peninsula. Parking and seating are limited, so carpooling and arriving early are strongly recommended. Light refreshments will be served.
