A Message from Your Treasurer-Tax Collector

The County of Monterey Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office prides itself on collecting, protecting, and investing in the future of our county. We do this within the three divisions of our department: Revenue, Treasury, and Property Tax. The Revenue Division collects fines and fees ordered by the local Superior Court of California. The Treasury Division performs banking and investment services for the county, all schools, and most special districts in the county. The Tax Division collects real estate and business tax, hotel tax, cannabis business tax, and issues business licenses for the County. We are committed to efficient resource management and exceptional customer service in the work we do for the community.
