Military and Overseas Voters
Under the Federal Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act, U.S. citizens who are active members of the Uniformed Services, the Merchant Marine, the commissioned corps of the Public Health Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, their eligible family members and U.S. citizens residing outside the United States are eligible to register to vote and request a vote by mail (absentee) ballot. Ballots can be emailed, faxed or mailed to eligible citizens. For more information about your rights as a U.S. citizen abroad please visit the Federal Voting Assistance Program.
To register as a military/overseas voter, complete the Federal Post Card Application and send it to your local elections office in the United States. The mailing address for Monterey County voters is:
