Monterey County HIV Planning Group (MCHPG)

The Monterey County Planning Group (MCHPG) is a group of service providers and concerned community members whose purpose is to identify local needs for HIV education and prevention, as well as care and treatment services.

The Monterey County HIV Planning Group (MCHPG) plays a crucial role in guiding the program policy, planning, and development of HIV/AIDS prevention and care services in the region. By providing ongoing direction, MCHPG ensures that the needs of Monterey County residents are met effectively and efficiently. Through strategic planning and collaboration with various stakeholders, MCHPG helps to ensure that comprehensive and quality services are available to those affected by HIV/AIDS.

The work of MCHPG is essential in addressing the ongoing challenges posed by HIV/AIDS in the community. By staying informed about the latest research, trends, and best practices in HIV/AIDS prevention and care, MCHPG can make informed decisions that benefit the residents of Monterey County. Overall, the dedication and commitment of MCHPG are instrumental in improving the health and well-being of individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Monterey County.

Members of the group attend quarterly meetings, at rotating locations.  Please contact Evelyn Alvarez at 831-755-4626 or AlvarezE1@co.monterey.ca.us if you are interested in learning additional information about MCHPG or would like to be added to the MCHPG email distribution list.
