Monterey County Immunization Coalition

The Monterey County Immunization Coalition is a collaborative effort of various professionals who are dedicated to enhancing the vaccination services in the region. Comprised of service providers, public health representatives, school nurses, and industry experts, the coalition works tirelessly to promote the importance of immunization and ensure that all individuals have access to necessary vaccines. By coming together, these diverse stakeholders are able to share their knowledge and resources to effectively advocate for vaccination services in Monterey County.

Through their collective efforts, the coalition aims to address barriers to vaccination, increase awareness about the benefits of immunization, and ultimately improve the overall health of the community. By working together, these professionals are able to leverage their expertise and experience to create a more cohesive and comprehensive approach to vaccination services in the county. The Monterey County Immunization Coalition serves as a shining example of the positive impact that can be achieved through collaboration and dedication to a common goal.

Mission Statement: To promote the health of all residents of Monterey County by advocating for the benefits of immunizations and striving to safely immunize our communities against all vaccine preventable disease.

Objectives:

  1. 90% of children will be fully immunized by age 3 by 2020
  2. 90% of adolescents will be fully immunized by 2020.
  3. 90% of 18 + (adults) will be fully immunized by 2020
  4. Review vaccine updates biannually through education and communication.
  5. 100% of vaccines administered to children and adults will be documented in the Registry (CAIR) for the providers utilizing CAIR/or the ability to link to CAIR.
  6. 90% of high risk adults will receive the flu vaccine every season.

  1. Increase vaccine rates by promoting vaccines to all populations / ages

  4. Decrease missed opportunities

  6. Coordinate Efforts
