Getting vaccinated is the most important step you can take to reduce transmission of COVID-19 in our communities. COVID-19 vaccines are available at doctors' offices, federally qualified health centers, and pharmacies across Monterey County.

As of September 12, 2023, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the newly-authorized 2023-2024 monovalent COVID-19 vaccines for everyone age 6 months and older to help protect against severe COVID-19 illness this fall and winter.

An updated COVID-19 vaccine dose can be given at least 2 months after receipt of a prior COVID-19 vaccine dose.

Detailed and printable versions of the COVID-19 immunization schedule are available in English and Spanish.
