Recycling Reusable Bag Ordinance

BYOB—Bring Your Own Bag!
- Single-use plastic bags are no longer available at stores in Unincorporated Monterey County.
- The ordinance is intended to encourage the use of reusable bags while reducing litter and keeping plastic bags out of local waterways.
- Stores must charge a minimum of 10¢ for each paper or reusable bag.
