BYOB—Bring Your Own Bag!

Single-use plastic bags are no longer available at stores in Unincorporated Monterey County.
The ordinance is intended to encourage the use of reusable bags while reducing litter and keeping plastic bags out of local waterways.
Stores must charge a minimum of 10¢ for each paper or reusable bag.
