Through product testing by state programs & confirmed by the FDA, the FDA has determined that certain ground cinnamon products contain elevated levels of lead & that exposure to these products may be unsafe. The FDA is advising consumers to throw away and not to buy these products.

A striped skunk found on September 4th near Blackie Road and Rolling Meadows Lane in the Prunedale area of unincorporated Monterey County has tested positive for the rabies virus. Hitchcock Road Animal Services has investigated this incident and determined that there was exposure to owned pet(s).
