Importing Requirements & Information
Incoming commercial and private shipments of plants, entering the county by truck, bus, air and railcar are subject to inspection by the Agricultural Commissioner for compliance with plant import regulations. Shipments not in compliance with quarantine requirements will be treated, returned to location of origin, or destroyed.

Export Requirements and Information
Prior to being exported, certain commodities may require phytosanitary certification for freedom of insects and diseases, depending on the commodity and destination.  Agricultural Commissioner staff provide quarantine inspection and certification services, and are qualified to issue federal Phytosanitary Certificates. Phytosanitary certification clients are required to obtain an account with the USDA Phytosanitary Certificate Issuance & Tracking System (PCIT).
