North & South County Workshops

The Hazardous Materials Management Service sponsors two education and outreach workshops per year. In the fall, we host a north County workshop tailored to address the needs of hazardous materials handling and hazardous waste generating businesses. In the spring, our second workshop in the south County, expands that knowledge base to include issues related to the agricultural industry.

Thank you for making the South County workshop a success

Over 100 attendees participated in the workshop making this year’s attendance rate the highest yet. In addition to the fantastic audience, the Hazardous Materials Management Service would like to thank all the speakers that helped make the event such valuable resource for the regulated community. Topics ranged from hazardous waste to cannabis regulation to our local drought to flood update.

If you are a hazardous materials handler or a hazardous waste generator, please keep an eye on your email inbox in the fall when we will announce the north County workshop. Also, please make sure the email address you list in CERS is accurate.
