The Friends of the Carmel Valley Library and re-launching their First Saturday Programs on Saturday, August 6, 2022! (Yes, the same day as the Fiesta!)
You and yours are invited to spend the morning of Saturday, August 6 at 10:15 AM on the patio of the Carmel Valley Branch Library and listen to songs of the Cypressaires Barbershop Chorus!
Modern Barbershop incorporates all eras and styles of songs with a common focus on precise four-part harmony. It is a lot less stodgy and square than you might imagine. The Cypressaires are one of over eight hundred chapters in the United States and Canada that make up the Barbershop Harmony Society. They have been singing the "old songs" in Monterey since the chapter was formed in 1956.
