County Calendar

On Sunday, May 6th from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Big Sur Land Trust (BSLT) along with several partners will be celebrating the third annual “Take It Outside Salinas/Vamos Afuera Salinas!". This family-focused event will be held at Natividad Creek Park (1395 Nogal Dr., Salinas), a beloved gathering space and example of the benefits of public parks, including community building, health and fun. (Take MST Lines 45 and 95 to the park.)

In support of the California Council of Land Trust’s “Take It Outside California!” initiative, community organizations and the City of Salinas are partnering with Big Sur Land Trust to present an event filled with fun for everyone! The day will feature a wide range of activities including bird counting, gardening workshops, disc golf, community exercise and yoga, a skate jam, live music, art demonstrations, theater performances and much more. The wide array of hands-on experiences and public demonstrations are designed to inspire community members to seek out nature and advocate for additional community open spaces.
