Join us on Saturday, March 18th at the Marina Branch for a Classic Movie Matinee! This month we will be showing the 1978 romantic period drama film Days of Heaven, Terrence Malick's exquisitely filmed tale of three migrants on a Texas farm in 1916. Featuring Richard Gere, Brooke Adams, Sam Shepard, Linda Manz, and Robert Wilke. 94 min., Rated PG.
Movie starts promptly at 2:30 and snacks are provided. Recommended for ages 13+.
Synopsis: Set in 1916, it tells the story of Bill and Abby, lovers who travel to the Texas Panhandle to harvest crops for a wealthy farmer. Bill persuades Abby to claim the fortune of the dying farmer by tricking him into a false marriage.
