County Calendar

United Ways support free tax preparation with the goal of connecting low-income people to tax credits and refunds at no cost.   Since the tax filing deadline has been extended do to the winter storm impacts, we have an opportunity to reach out to those most affected to help them file.  During the months of May and June, our state association, United Ways of California,  is offering free tax prep services brought directly to communities via the VITA Bus.  While this typically happens at a local United Way, partners are bringing their Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services directly to community members.  Thanks to the California Community College Foundation, United Way can help community members on the road with a VITA Tour Bus.  

• United Way of Santa Cruz County will be hosting a segment of the statewide VITA bus tour at Our Lady of the Assumption Church 100 Salinas Rd, Pajaro, CA, on Friday, June 2, 2023 (2-6pm)

• United Way of Monterey County hosting a segment of the statewide VITA bus tour at Pajaro Middle School 250 Salinas Rd, Pajaro, CA on Saturday, June 3, 2023 (10am-3pm).
