Course Description
This training will review the basic concepts of consent and non-consent, and provide attendees with a review of minor consent law in California, as well as special laws impacting the parent’s involvement in the child’s care, when parental consent is required, and the parent’s right to access the minor record when the minor has been removed from the parent’s physical custody. We will also provide an overview of the special rules that apply when foster youth or wards require treatment with psychotropic medications.
