The Monterey County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agency is currently in the process of developing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for an exclusive ambulance services provider for the Monterey County Exclusive Operating Area (EOA) to begin on July 1, 2025.
The EMS Agency is seeking feedback on the RFP Scope of Work draft from members of the community, city and county officials, and EMS system stakeholders. The draft of the RFP Scope of Work and a form to submit feedback are available via the EMS Agency’s website at: mocoems.org.
Interested parties may submit comments on the RFP Scope of Work draft via the comment form or at a joint public meeting of the EMS Agency’s Emergency Medical Care Committee, Medical Advisory Subcommittee, and Operations Subcommittee. This meeting will take place on Wednesday November 8, 2023, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at 1441 Schilling Place, Salinas. This meeting is also accessible via Zoom.
Additional Public meetings are being held to provide additional opportunities to hear from our community. Public comments are due by Friday, November 17, 2023.
The current agreement for Advanced Life Support Ambulance Services between the County of Monterey and American Medical Response is set to expire June 30, 2025.
