30th Annual celebration of Culture and Language

Wednesday - September 25, 2019

 Sherwood Hall at 11:30 am to 1 pm

 

Presenting: Ernie Camacho Educational Foundation

 -While sports is critical, Education is vital

 The Ernie Camacho Educational Foundation (ECEF) was named after former Major League Baseball player and lifelong Salinas resident Ernesto "Ernie" Camacho. The mission of ECEF is to promote post-secondary education awareness and access as well as increase sports participation among low income youth and families in East Salinas. The ECEF is a non-profit organization exclusively dedicated for charitable and educational purposes.

The ECEF has simple goals in mind:

  • Help youth further their education.
  • Provide higher education scholarships.
  • Provide financial support to achieve all our mission statement goals.
  • Provide a free annual athlectic clinic that includes past Major League Baseball players.

 Latino Network Luncheon is seeking to recognize nominees from all areas of the community that

have made a significant contribution to an individual, organization, agency or community in
general. Nominees can include agencies, organizations or community individuals that have
unconditionally invested their time and energy in assisting others in the Latino community. We
ask that you do not limit yourself in choosing a nominee and keep in mind that this is not exclusiveto professionals but instead open to all members of the community.

On behalf of the Latino Network Luncheon Committee, we would like to invite you or your company to be amongst our circle of leaders by sponsoring our September 25, 2019 Celebration ofCulture and Language. Your sponsorship will enable the community to have access to the event at an affordable rate. The September 20th luncheon is our largest activity of the year, and we anticipate approximately 300 attendees at Sherwood hall. Please join us, as we will also recognize individuals for their outstanding service to our community.
