To reach every resident in Monterey County, we partner with hundreds of Community-Based Organizations that help amplify our messages throughout the community. These partnerships allow us to extend critical updates to even the most hard-to-reach populations in rural and underserved areas. We provide communications in multiple languages, ensuring our diverse communities receive essential information when it matters most.
Expert Crisis Management
In collaboration with the Department of Emergency Management, the County Communications Bureau offers comprehensive Public Information Officer services, bringing a high level of expertise to crisis management. We also manage the Joint Information Center at the Emergency Operations Center, coordinating communications across multiple agencies to ensure consistent, reliable information flows to residents.
