Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs Office
The Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs (IGLA) Office is a division of the County Administrative Office and is led by an Assistant County Administrative Officer. The IGLA team of dedicated professionals works to support initiatives of the Board of Supervisors and the CAO to improve the quality of life for residents, businesses, and those who visit our beautiful County.
Services and projects within the Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs division include:
- Strategic Planning
- Cannabis Program
- Homelessness Strategies and Initiatives
- County Communications / Media Relations / Public Relations / Crisis Communications
- Legislative Program and Strategic Grant Services Program
- Sustainability Program
- Workforce Development
- Community Engagement / Violence Prevention
- Special Projects assigned by the County Administrative Office and Board of Supervisors
IGLA team of eight managers and/or directors, also staffs the activities of several standing committees of the Board of Supervisors, including the Legislative Committee, Alternative Energy and Environment Committee, Cannabis Committee and the Homeless Services Committee.
