OFFICIAL RECORD SEARCHES:
Real property document which have been recorded in the Monterey County Recorder’s Office can be viewed in the office’s public access area.

Office hours for viewing public records are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays and posted advance notice closure days/hours.

OFFICIAL RECORD COPY REQUESTS:
When requesting copies you must provide us with the following information:

Document number or Reel & Page number, as applicable
Recording year
Name of at least one of the parties named in the document as it appears in the document
Type of document

The fees for copies of recorded documents are $2.00 per page of the document and $2.00 per document for certification.

You may obtain copies of all recorded real property documents in the office of the Monterey County Recorder, located at:
