Please note, when attempting to access Form 700s via this website, only certain individuals are required to file their original Form 700 with Monterey County's Clerk of the Board's Office. This is dependent upon the special district's/County department's Conflict of Interest Code (COI).
The County of Monterey is only linking Statements of Economic Interests that have been electronically filed. Electronic filing is voluntary on the part of the filer; if they choose to file paper Statements they will not be shown through this page. The actual filers of these documents are responsible for their content.
The Political Reform Act (Gov. Code sections 81000 et seq.) requires most state and local government officials and employees to publicly disclose their personal assets and income within certain limits. They also mush disqualify themselves from participating in decisions which may affect their personal economic interest. The officials and employees which much disclose, and the level of required disclosure is governed by the Conflict of Interest Code adopted for that entity (or County department).
Statements of Economic Interest are public documents. Any member of the public may inspect and request a copy of an any statement. Forms must be available as soon as possible during the agency's regular business hours, but in any event no later than the second business day after the statement is received.
