- No. Pension contributions are a set percentage of your income. If you would like to save additional money for retirement you can enroll into the Monterey County 457b Deferred Compensation Plan.

- Yes, once divorced an ex-spouse is no longer an eligible dependent and must be removed from your insurance effective the 1st of the month after the divorce was final.
I have a Voluntary Benefit Policy (EBS plan) but I don’t know what type of policy it is or who to contact.
Flexible Benefit Administrators is the new third party administrator for all EBS plans. You can call FBA at 1-800-437-3539 to find out who your carrier is and what type of policy you have.- Call Flexible Benefit Administrators at 1-800-437-3539.
- As long as you submit your enrollment paperwork on time your coverage will begin the first of the month following your qualifying event. For example, if you are hired on March 15th and turn in your enrollment forms within 30 days your coverage will begin on April 1st. If you get married on June 2nd and submit your enrollment forms within 30 days your spouse’s coverage will begin on July 1st.
