When we talk about resiliency we are talking about the ability to snap back from change or misfortune that has been imposed upon us. The question we will explore in this workshop is why do some people suffer hardships and not falter. How do they persevere and adapt when things go awry? The good news is that we can learn from those who have shown resilience and learn skills to increase our own resiliency.

Effective Interview Techniques

This workshop teaches job seekers how to prepare yourself for a professional interview. Whether you are being interviewed for a job because your name was on an eligible list or not, being prepared for your job interview will certainly improve your chances of being selected for the job.

  • Learn all about the interview process from the employer’s point-of-view.
  • Find out how research can improve your chances to get hired.
  • Learn the best ways to answer interview questions and what employers are trying to figure out.
  • Understand how preparation can turn the tables in your favor.

This 1.5-hour workshop will be scheduled in the event lay-off notices are initiated.

Emotional Stages of a Job Loss

  • Denial
  • Disbelief
  • Outward Anger

This workshop equips you to identify when you are going through the emotions associated with loss and will equip you with strategies for how to manage your emotions and create momentum for transition to the new opportunities.
