Update on Monterey County Mask Ordinance Requirements
The Monterey County Board of Supervisors has voted to suspend the masking requirement of its Indoor Face Covering Ordinance, effective immediately.

Monterey County to Require Employees to be Vaccinated, Masks in County Facilities for Employees and the Public
The Monterey County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to require all county employees to be vaccinated unless they have an authorized exemption. The Board also voted to change masking requirements in county buildings.

Gina Martinez has been named Monterey County Registrar of Voters. Gina is currently the County’s Assistant Registrar and will begin her duties as Registrar today, Monday, July 12, 2021. She is the first Latina to hold this position in Monterey County.
