The County of Monterey along with CALFire and state geologists are continuing to monitor a landslide in Arroyo Seco
As part of that monitoring, a camera station has been installed by the California Department of Emergency Services to monitor the hillside where the slide occurred. Although the landslide has stopped moving at this time, it can continue moving. The video feed is available to the public.

Do Not Drink Order Lifted for Sunny Mesa CSD
April 10th - Do Not Drink Order has been lifted for the Sunny Mesa CSD. No need for bottled water for either people in the Sunny Mesa CSD or the Pajaro WS. Pajaro WS was lifted on Friday, April 7th.

Today, President Joseph Biden declared that a major disaster exists in the State of California and ordered Federal aid to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe winter storms, straight-line winds, flooding, landslides, & mudslides beginning on February 21, 2023, and continuing.

The County of Monterey Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved an eviction moratorium to assist flood victims.
The moratorium takes effect immediately. The moratorium protects renters, small businesses & mobile homeowners (who pay rent for their spaces) from eviction. It does not relieve the renter from the obligation to pay all rent that is due, nor take away right of the landlord to recover past due rent.

La Junta de Supervisores del Condado de Monterey aprobó por unanimidad una moratoria de desalojo para ayudar a las víctimas de las inundaciones.
La moratoria protege a los inquilinos, pequeñas empresas y propietarios de casas móviles/tráiler casero (que pagan el alquiler de sus espacios) del desalojo. No libera al rentero de la obligación de pagar toda la renta adeudada, ni le quita el derecho del dueño recuperar la renta vencida.

County of Monterey Public Works Launches Emergency Temporary Repair of Sewage System Serving Pajaro, Neighboring Areas
County of Monterey crews are inspecting infrastructure. After the Pajaro River floodwaters receded, it was discovered that the Pajaro County Sanitation District sewer force main is compromised at the Highway 1 Bridge where the Pajaro River floodwaters eroded the levee under the bridge.
