Dillon Debord is the Track Manager and former Track Foreman at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. He has been with the track for coming up on 10 years and simply put, he "loves it here.” His hard work and dedication throughout the years are admirable and his dry humor and sharp wit endear him to the team. He considers racing to be a true part of who he is saying "it's in my blood," mentioning how he and his cousins all grew up together racing dirt cars which many of them still do competitively. His brother also works in the racing industry as the Competition Director for Redbull KTM.

Though this track definitely comes with its own special challenges, Dillon loves the excitement that each new event brings. One such event recently added an extra layer of challenges as the INDYCAR season finale was the first time that high-speed, open-wheel race cars hit the fresh pavement after a massive renovation project earlier this year. The race turned out to have 35 yellow flag laps as multiple cars went off track or into each other as drivers wrestled with trying to steer the cars on the new high-grip pavement.

Dillon remained cool and collected, holding his team and the track to the highest standards of professionalism. After the race, INDYCAR Safety Team leader Tim Baughman asked if he could speak with Dillon and presented him with a special coin containing the words In Omni Paratus "I think you should look that up because it is exactly what your work has represented today," he said. Dillon Debord is WeatherTech Raceway’s employee of the quarter because Tim was right, he is always “Prepared in all things, ready for anything.”
