Our adoption process

As we get back to "normal", we're trying to make it easy to come and adopt our shelter animals.  Please see below. 

All adoptions will be done in person, on a first come, first serve basis. We are not taking appointments or placing holds.  We are allowing the public to walk through the kennels in limited numbers after checking in via QR code before you enter the building. When you arrive at the shelter during the adoption hours below, we will ask you to complete our adoption application, make sure you sanitize your hands and ask you repeatedly to sanitize your hands.

Looking to adopt a dog and have one at home? We will ask you to bring your current dog for a meet and greet with a potential new dog.Please let staff know when it is your turn so that we can assist with this.

Why sanitize so much?

Every time you touch an animal, you collect germs on your hands.  When you then touch another animal, you transfer those germs to the other animal. We are working hard every single day to keep the animal healthy and we need your cooperation on this. If you MUST touch a nose, please sanitize before moving on.

In Person Adoption hours as of 11.2.2021:

Tuesday - Saturday 1-4:00pm

Adoption Fees vary by pet type and include the following: 

Spay/Neuter Surgery, FVRCP/DHPP Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine, Microchip.
Dog licensing fees are not included.

Dog: $279.00 each

Cat: $182.00 each

Rabbit: 87.00 each

Other Animals: $63.00
