Do you want to make a difference in the life of a shelter animal?  Join Our Team of Volunteers and Be That Difference!

Volunteers allow us to go above and beyond with the care and services we provide to animals and their humans. Whether it's helping to care for animals or supporting the humans who love them, everything is important and valuable.

Hitchcock Road Animal Services is Seeking Support in the Following Areas:

  • Dog Walker (daily am and pm shifts)
  • Dog Feeder (daily am and pm shifts)
  • Cat Cleaning (daily shifts)
  • Cat Socializer (daily am and pm shifts)
  • Administrative Support (Tuesday to Saturday am and pm shifts)
  • Support for the Adoption Program (1-4pm Tuesday to Saturday)
  • Support from the Spay/Neuter Veterinary Clinic (Tuesday to Friday am and pm shifts (4 hours min.))
  • Web Photos (Tuesday - Saturday pm shifts)
  • Off-Site Adoption and Education Events (to be determined)

ll volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and able to commit to a minimum of one 2-4 hour shift per week (depending on assignment). Requirements

All volunteers must complete an application, attend an Animal Services orientation, and follow the Department of Health on-boarding process which includes a live scan (fingerprinting), TB test, and on-boarding orientation.

We are not accepting community service students at this time.
