What is it?
In partnership with California State Parks and the California State Library, free State Parks vehicle-day use passes are available for circulation to help Californians access beautiful parks, lakes, beaches, and monuments in the State Parks system for free.
How do I borrow a pass?
You can borrow a pass from any Monterey County Free Libraries branch with your MCFL library card. You can also place a hold on a pass and pick it up at your local branch. For a list of availability or to place a hold please click here.
How do I use the pass?
The pass entitles the user to a free vehicle day-use entry for one passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less or one highway licensed motorcycle at over 200 participating state park units. You can borrow the pass for three weeks and once you're done, simply return it to an MCFL branch.
