Access Services
Taking care of your mental health is an important part of your overall health and wellness.
About
Monterey County Behavioral Health ACCESS services provide a warm and welcoming environment for individuals navigating severe psychiatric and substance use challenges.
Our services extend to people of all ages, providing outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in need. This includes thorough assessments to understand your unique needs, treatment planning, individual, family, and group therapy, as well as facilitating referrals to community partners when necessary.
Services are provided to MediCal eligible beneficiaries and those within underserved populations. If you do not have MediCal, the ACCESS team will help identify your needs and connect you to your insurance or a community resource.
Contact
Call the ACCESS line at 1-888-258-6029 to speak to an ACCESS representative who can help you find the right service for you or someone you care about. Our lines are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and our services are available in both English and Spanish.
If you have private insurance coverage through a health plan, it is recommended to call the health plan directly to get a referral to a covered mental health provider.
If you are experiencing a life-threatening mental health emergency that needs an urgent response, call 9-1-1 and ask for a CIT (Crisis Intervention Trained) officer to respond.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis that does not require an urgent response, please contact the Community Crisis Line of Monterey County (answered by Suicide Prevention Service of the Central Coast) at 1-866-615-1060, where support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be connected to a trained counselor. When appropriate, you can also be linked to a community-based mobile crisis in person. Services are available in English and Spanish.
