If you or a loved one is experiencing or affected by a mental health, substance use, or suicidal crisis, help is available. Crisis support services are available to all people.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening mental health emergency that needs an urgent response, call 9-1-1 and ask for a CIT (Crisis Intervention Trained) officer to respond.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact the Community Crisis Line of Monterey County at 1-866-615-1060 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to be connected with a trained counselor. Services are provided in English and Spanish.

Provides specialized services for children and youth up to 21 years of age and their families.

Monterey County Critical Incident Stress Management Team Coordinators

Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) is a strategic crisis intervention aimed at lessening the harmful effects of an event, accelerating the recovery process, and assessing the need for additional services and supports. In situations where CISM intervention is deemed appropriate, Monterey County Behavioral Health and our allied partners can help individuals and groups in their recovery process.
