Get Involved in Local Suicide Prevention Efforts by Joining MC HOPES

Monterey County Behavioral Health (MCBH) is in the process of developing a Suicide Prevention Strategic Plan, the MC HOPES Roadmap, with the long-term vision of zero suicides in Monterey County. MCBH encourages and invites community members to get involved through several different activities:

  • Do you want to get involved? Click HERE to provide your name and contact information and to let us know how you would you like to be involved.
  • Join us for the next in person MC HOPES Coalition meeting:

We will also have Spanish to English and English to Spanish interpretation for the event. If you have any questions please email Jill O'Neill (jill@appliedcrisistraining.com).

You can also contact:
Carly Memoli from Applied Crisis Training and Consulting at carly@appliedcrisistraining.com

  • Increase your knowledge and have some fun by playing a suicide prevention and mental health focused Crossword Puzzle, Trivia, or Bingo game, all available in English and Spanish!
  • Encourage young people to get involved in mental health and suicide prevention by submitting art films projects to the Directing Change Program or share some of the amazing videos Monterey County youth have already created.
  • Encourage help-seeking by spreading the word about crisis resources and encouraging others to save the information in their phones: Suicide Prevention Hotline (1-877-663-5433) and Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741)
